Labyrinth of Dreamsin taidekujahaku on alkanut ja jatkuu to 6.4. klo 23.59 asti! Alta löydät tarkempaa tietoa hakemisesta. Taidekuja on tarkoitettu sekä taiteilijoille että käsityöläisille, harrastajille ja pienimuotoisille yrittäjille. Yritysten ja ammattimaisten yrittäjien kannattaa mieluummin hakea paikkaa myyntisalista (linkki myyjähakuun).
Taidekuja sijaitsee Vanhan ylioppilastalon toisessa kerroksessa ja on auki lauantaina 23.9. klo 12–18. Paikkaa saa tulla laittamaan klo 11 alkaen, ja tilasta on poistuttava klo 19 mennessä. Taidekujalla on yhteensä 10 pöytää. Yhdellä pöydällä saa olla enintään kaksi taiteilijaa. Taidekujapaikan hinta yhdelle on 60 € ja kahdelle 100 €. Hinta sisältää sisäänpääsyn lauantain päätapahtumaan sekä iltabileisiin! Myyntipöydän koko on 120 x 80 cm, ja pöydillä on valmiiksi liinat.
The application for the artist alley at Labyrinth of Dreams has begun, and is open until 23:59 on Thursday 6th of April! Below you will discover more information regarding the application process. The artist alley is primarily directed towards artists and artisans, hobbyists, and small-scale businesses and entrepreneurs. Bigger scale and more professional companies and entrepreneurs are warmly recommended to apply for a vendor space at the vendors’ hall (link to application for vendors).
The artist alley is located on the second floor of the Old Student House, and is open on Saturday the 23rd of September 12–18. You may arrive to organise your space at the artist alley from 11 AM onwards, and you have to leave the location by 7 PM.The artist alley encompasses 10 tables, and one table can be shared by a maximum of two artists. A space at the artist alley costs 60€, and for two people it is 100€. The price includes an entry to the main event on Saturday, as well as an entry to the evening party! The size of the vendor table at the artist alley is 120 x 80 cm, and the tables include a tablecloth each.
Mitä Helloconin taidekujalla saa myydä? /
What is suitable to be sold at the artist alley?
Taidekuja on suunnattu taiteilijoiden lisäksi käsityöläisille, jotka ovat harrastajia tai joilla on vain pienimuotoista yritystoimintaa. Myyntisali puolestaan on kohdennettu yrityksille ja ammattimaisille yrittäjille, vaatteiden myyjille sekä kokeneille käsityöläisille. Sovit todennäköisesti paremmin taidekujalle, jos myyt omasta kuvituksestasi tehtyjä tuotteita, esimerkiksi alkuperäisiä kuvia, printtejä, kirjanmerkkejä, avaimenperiä ja pinssejä. Myös aloitteleva käsityöläinen sopii todennäköisesti paremmin taidekujalle. Jos olet kokenut käsityöläinen ja tarjontasi painottuu käsitöihin (esim. korut ja asusteet), sovit luultavasti paremmin myyntisaliin (linkki myyjähakuun).
Taidekujalla on tarkoitus myydä kujalaisten itse tekemiä töitä, joten esimerkiksi läpipiirrettyjen tai selkeästi muiden töistä kopioitujen kuvien, pelkistä valmisosista kasattujen asusteiden ja AI-taiteen myyminen taidekujalla on kielletty. Huomioithan, että brändin printin kopioiminen ja tästä tehdyn tuotteen myyminen on kielletty. AI-taiteella tarkoitetaan kuvia, jotka on luotu kokonaan tai osittain käyttämällä prompt-työkalua, joka pohjautuu kolmansien osapuolien kuvaresurssien hyödyntämiseen (esim. Stable Diffusion, Midjourney, DALL-E).
Fanitaiteen myyminen on sallittua, kunhan työt ovat omaperäisiä ja niissä näkyy tekijän kädenjälki. Niitä ei siis ole suoraan kopioitu tai läpipiirretty lähdemateriaalista.
Hellocon on ikärajaton tapahtuma. Alastomuutta, seksuaalista sisältöä tai väkivaltaa sisältävien töiden myyminen taidekujalla on sallittua, mutta niitä ei saa pitää esillä taidekujapöydällä. Tällaiset työt voi koota esimerkiksi erilliseen K-18-kansioon.
The artist alley is directed towards not only artists, but also artisans, who are more on the side of hobbyists or otherwise more oriented towards small-scale businesses. The vendors’ hall, on the other hand, is more aimed towards bigger businesses and professional entrepreneurs, clothiers (clothing sellers) and experienced artisans. You will be more suited for the artist alley, if you plan on selling merchandise and goods based on your own personal artwork, eg. prints, bookmarks, keychains, and pins (among others). A novice artisan will also most likely feel more at home in the artist alley, but should you be a more seasoned artisan with an assortment focused on crafted goods such as eg. jewellery and accessories, you will most likely be better suited for the vendors’ hall (link to application for vendors).
As the focus of the artwork sold at the artist alley is on the participating creators’ original works, it is forbidden to sell any kind of art created by tracing or otherwise copying existing art by others. This prohibition also applies to accessories fully created through assembling readymade parts, as well as all kinds of AI art. By AI art we mean pictures and illustrations, which are entirely or partially created by using a prompt tool, which is based on utilising third party picture resources (eg. Stable Diffusion, Midjourney, DALL-E). Observe that it is also prohibited to sell works based on or copied off of an existing brand’s print, logo, or other trademarked property. The sale of fan art is permitted, as long as the work is clearly distinctive to the creator’s personal style, and they are not directly copied or traced from the source material.
As Hellocon is an event without any kind of age limit/restriction, all artwork depicting nudity, sexual content or violence has to be kept in a separate R-18 folder and not physically visible on the vendor table in the artist alley, should the creator wish to sell such material at the event.

The application pertains to one applicant. Should you want to share the table with another artist, please send us a joint application and portfolio.
If you have applied for the vendor space at the artist alley by yourself at first, but then change your mind and wish to share it with another artist, it is only possible to alter and edit the application during the active application process. When the deadline has passed and the application process is closed, we cannot add any more artists to an already existing unit (vendor table).
Portfolio
Hakemukseen tulee liittää mukaan vapaamuotoinen portfolio, josta käy ilmi, millainen sinä olet taiteilijana ja mitä haluaisit tuoda myytäväksi. Portfolio on pöytäkohtainen, eli jos haet pöytää toisen taiteilijan kanssa, lähettäkää yhteinen hakemus ja portfolio. Portfoliossa saa olla enintään 10 kuvaa. Suosittelemme portfolion koostamista yhteen pdf-tiedostoon, mutta tiedostojen koostaminen erilliseen kansioon pilvipalvelussa (esim. Google Drive, Dropbox) on myös sallittu.
Työnäytteiden lisäksi portfolioon saa laittaa mukaan suunnitelman pöydästä tai valokuvan aikaisemmasta pöydästäsi, mutta se ei ole pakollista.
Toivomme portfolioon selkeitä kuvia, jotka edustavat teoksia hyvin. Liitä portfolioon vain valmiita teoksia, sillä luonnoksista on vaikeaa arvioida niistä valmistuvia teoksia.
The application must include as an attachment a casual/free portfolio, which displays your qualities and nature as an artist, and what goods you wish to bring for sale at the event. The portfolio pertains to one vendor table each, so should you endeavour to apply for a table together with another artist, please send in a joint application and portfolio. The portfolio may contain a maximum of 10 pictures, and we recommend that you compile the portfolio into one pdf file, but it is also permitted to arrange files into a separate folder in a cloud service (eg. Google Drive, Dropbox).
Apart from work samples and other demonstrations of skills, the portfolio may include a plan of the alleged layout for the vendor table or a picture of a previous commercial space of the same kind. This is, however, completely voluntary and not required for the portfolio.
We hope that the portfolio includes clear and coherent pictures, which well represent the works you wish to sell. Please add and attach only finished works of art into the portfolio, as it is difficult to determine the process of art pieces based on unfinished sketches.
Arviointi / Evaluation
Taidekujahakemukset arvioi Helloconin järjestäjistä koostuva raati. Arvioinnissa painotetaan seuraavia kriteerejä:
Sopivuus tapahtumaan: Arvioinnissa suositaan töitä, jotka liittyvät lolitaan tai j-muotiin, sopivat tapahtuman teemaan (keijut ja fantasia) tai muuten kiinnostavat Helloconin kohderyhmää.
Laatu ja tekninen osaaminen: Tietty harrastelijamaisuus on charmikasta, mutta Helloconin kävijät odottavat jonkinlaista osaamisen tasoa maksullisista tuotteista, vaikka tekijä olisi aloittelija. Taidekujalla myytävien tuotteiden ei tarvitse olla painosta tilattuja, mutta kotona tulostetuissa töissä arvostamme tulosteen sekä paperin laatua.
Monipuolisuus: Valitsemme taidekujalaiset hakemusten perusteella siten, että tapahtumassa on mahdollisimman monipuolinen valikoima erilaisia taiteilijoita, lolita-aiheista taidetta sekä tapahtuman teemaan sopivaa fantasia- ja keijuaiheista taidetta.
The applications for the artist alley will be viewed and assessed by a committee consisting of Hellocon’s organisers. The evaluation will accentuate the following criteria:
Suitability for the event: The assessment will favour works related to lolita fashion and the theme of the event (faeries, faefolk, and fantasy) or what will otherwise most likely capture the interest of Hellocon’s target audience.
Quality and technical skills: A certain amount of a rookie hobbyist touch is very charming and endearing, albeit as paying customers many of Hellocon’s visitors expect a certain level of skill and quality, despite the artist being a novice or beginner. Although the goods sold at the artist alley are not by any means required to have been ordered or processed through a print shop, we appreciate and favour good quality in the paper and print in works printed at home.
Versatility: As we are looking to demonstrate a versatile assortment of artists and artworks in accordance with the theme of the event; faeries, fantasy, and other; lolita related art, we will choose the applicants for the artist alley accordingly. Versatility is absolutely the key guiding this selection process.
Hakutulokset / Admission results
Taidekujahaun tulokset ilmoitetaan 23.4. mennessä. Ilmoituksen yhteydessä pyydämme taidekujalle valituilta pöydän esittelytiedot Helloconin verkkosivuja varten.
The admission results of the artist alley are announced by the 23rd of April. In connection with the admission results we will ask the chosen parties to submit a text/short letter of introduction for Hellocon’s website.
Muuta / Other
Lähetämme valituksi tulleille kujalaisille laskun pian hakutulosten julkistamisen jälkeen. Muista maksaa lasku eräpäivään mennessä! Jos maksu viivästyy, menetät taidekujapaikkasi ja se siirtyy varasijalla olevalle.Jos joudut perumaan osallistumisesi, ole mahdollisimman pian yhteydessä osoitteeseen artistalley.hellocon@gmail.com, jotta pöytäpaikka voidaan antaa varasijalla olevalle. Emme palauta pöytämaksua, jos perut viime hetkellä ilman painavaa syytä tai jätät tulematta paikalle perumatta varausta.
We will send the parties chosen for the artist alley an invoice soon after the announcement of the admission. Please remember to pay the invoice by the due date! Should the payment be delayed, you will lose your vendor space at the artist alley, and it will be passed on to the next one in line on the waitlist. Should you have to cancel your participation, please contact us as quickly as possible at artistalley.hellocon@gmail.com, so that we can pass the table onto the next in line on the waitlist. In case of cancellation: if the cancellation comes at the last minute without a valid reason or if you fail to turn up at the artist alley without first cancelling your reservation, we will not reimburse the cost of the vendor space.
