Emme kuitenkaan aina osaa ottaa huomioon moninaisuutta, joten otathan meihin yhteyttä, jos havaitset esteettömyydessä tai saavutettavuudessa jotain sellaista, missä voisimme toimia paremmin. Usein tapahtumat järjestetään vanhoissa historiallisissa rakennuksissa, joten tilat eivät kuitenkaan valitettavasti ole aina esteettömiä tai saavutettavia. Tavoittelemme sitä, että vähintään tapahtumien pääsali sekä myyntisali olisivat kaikkien saavutettavissa.

Our deepest wish is for everyone interested in lolita fashion to be able to partake in our events, which is why we seriously strive to accommodate the needs of our visitors in manners as versatile as possible. Despite our best efforts, however, we may not always succeed in our task of taking into account the vast diversity of our visitors, which is why we humbly ask that you contact us and point out, should you find anything regarding accessibility lacking and in need of improvement. These aforementioned events are often held in old, historical buildings, which unfortunately do not always accommodate accessibility. Our aim and goal is to ensure that at least the main hall and vendors’ hall would be accessible to all attendees.
We endeavour to properly announce and inform our visitors of the accessibility or incapacity of venues in advance. In case you are wondering whether a location is accessible to you, you can always confirm the situation by checking with us.
At our events everyone is allowed and encouraged to be themselves, which should be respected by everybody. Hellocon’s events are free of discrimination, and we do not condone any form racism, sexism, or discrimination due to a disability or health condition. The same also applies for trans- and homophobia, or any other kind of form of discrimination, which we absolutely do not tolerate.
A visitor in need of an aide can acquire a free entry for the main event and the evening party for said assistant. Depending on the event, however, the aide may have to purchase a ticket of their own for the tea party, if the aforementioned ticket includes catering. Should you require an aide or have other specific needs you wish to inquire about, please fill in our contact form.
For the events, we have nominated a responsible person to work as the designated support person; acting as a safe harbour, retaining more detailed information regarding the accessibility. You can also reach out to them during the event itself, should the surrounding hustle and commotion turn stressful or anxiety inducing for you. We strongly encourage you to approach the support person also in matters regarding mental health and your well-being. We will introduce this aforementioned person in more detail closer to the event.

Main Event at Turku Castle
- Tapahtuman tilat ovat esteettömät
- Esteetön sisäänkäynti sijaitsee Länsitornissa linnan satamanpuoleisessa päädyssä. Portilla on puhelin, jolla voi soittaa lippukassalle ja henkilökunta tulee avaamaan reitin lukitut ovet.
- Linnan pihassa ei ole esteetöntä pysäköintiä. Invapysäkkien sijainnit voi tarkistaa museon sivuilta.

- Linna itsessään on osittain esteetön, ja tilanteen voi tarkistaa linnan sivuilta.

- The venue is accessible
- A fully accessible entrance is located in the Western Tower on the side of the Castle facing the harbour. There is also a telephone at the gate from which it is possible to call the information desk and ask the staff to unlock the doors.
- You can check the Castle’s website for an accessible parking guide, although there unfortunately is no accessible parking at the castle itself.
- Guide and assistance dogs are welcome
- The castle itself is partially accessible, and the situation can be confirmed on the castle’s website.
- The banquet hall is located at the end of a staircase, but disabled individuals can reach the floor by elevator
- There are a few steps to the toilet on the main floor. The toilet downstairs, located next to the elevator, is accessible.
- The event has a designated support person, whose job description encompasses matters regarding accessibility: you can reach out to said person and discuss accessibility with them before and during the event. This support person endeavours to make the settings at the venue – as well as the event itself, accessible to everyone.

An aide/assistant gains free entry to the main event and evening party. Please inform us in advance, should you require an aide in order to participate in the event. Because the tea party includes catering, we regret to inform you that we unfortunately cannot offer a free tea party ticket for the aide.
