Future trends, new releases and prints in lolita fashion amongst many other topics are commonly discussed on a variety of social media platforms – our scene likes to talk! We think there is one trendy and very important topic in particular to direct our focus on and provoke discussion: The future of our planet and sustainability in Lolita fashion.
In this talk alternative fashion designers Eva Dejmo from Dejmo and Iira Salo from Rosa Nitida discus with Cloudberry Lady designer Tuulia Lautamaja topics such as some of the changes we have seen happening in lolita fashion the past years, sustainability of the fashion and what we hope for the future of lolita.
From Boater to Bonnet and Back: 10 Temporary Modifications for 2 Felt Hats

I will take 2 felt hats (a cloche and a boater shape) and pin, fold and flip them to temporarily change their shape 10 different ways. If you want to try it too, you’ll need a felt hat that’s not too stiff to fold. Some shapes require some pins (or brooches or needles), and the bonnet requires a ribbon, scarf or sash. If there’s time, I can also show how I decorate my hats to match my coords using scarves, ribbons, brooches, feathers and flowers.
